Sacred Heart Hospital

The following classes will be held at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. To register, call 278-3600 or toll-free (877) 416-1600 unless noted.

• Breast cancer support group:  Meets at 6 p.m. March 18 in the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center. Call 278-3980.

• Joint replacement: Bi-weekly education classes at 9 a.m. March 17 and 31 in the hospital’s Resource Center Suite 3 conference room. To attend, call Linda Ledford at 278-3646.

•Diabetes classes: Jenny Stuckey, registered nurse and certified diabetes educator, and Anne Townley, registered dietician and certified diabetes educator,  will host self-management classes from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 18 and 19 in the Resource Center Suite 1 education building at Sacred Heart for adults with diabetes who are looking for ways to manage their disease. Pre-registration required and a physician referral is needed to attend. Call 278-3683.

• Online childbirth class: Families will learn about the stages of labor, comfort techniques, common medical procedures, including epidurals and cesareans, and newborn and postpartum care. Engaging videos, personal birth stories, 3D animations, games, and activities make learning easy and fun. Rolling registration. Cost is $35.  

Blood Drive

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host the Oneblood mobile unit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19 at the main entrance of the hospital. All donors will receive a free T-shirt and a meal ticket to the hospital’s café.
