Seacoast Collegiate High School Interact Club raised money for Alaqua Animal Refuge and had a blast doing it. They held their first ever Shrimp and Crawfish Boil April 23. After advertising with the Seaside Neighborhood School and the community, they contacted Stinky’s Fish Camp that was able to provide the seafood, propane tank, and even cook everything at a reduced price.

The event had more than 65 participants and special guest speaker Lt. Col. Richard Heck of the U.S. Air Force kicked it all off. The event raised $1,000 for Alaqua. The Interact Club plans to continue to raise money for Alaqua. The Shrimp and Crawfish Boil will be an annual event and Alaqua looks forward to working with these young men and women again.
