SWFD Emergency Vehicle technician receives award

South Walton Fire District announced that its Emergency Vehicle Technician, Joe Murzynsky, has been selected Florida's Emergency Vehicle Technician of the Year for 2012. This award honors a technician whose primary job responsibility is the maintenance and repair of emergency apparatus and related equipment. In addition it also acknowledges someone who has demonstrated independent initiative in the areas of quality assurance and training, and has demonstrated support, involvement and dedication to their department, community and profession. This prestigious award includes a plaque to the award recipient, $500 from Hoseline, Inc. to the recipient, and recognition in the monthly Florida Fire Service publication.
