The DeFuniak Springs Friends of the Library need your books. The supply of books and other materials which the Friends make available to the community through their periodic book sales is extremely low. More materials are needed now.

If you are sorting through your books or those of a loved one, please consider sending those books to the library. While you may be finished with them, others in our community will benefit greatly from the opportunity to read your books.

“We need good DVDs and CDs too,” said Anita Harris, president of the Friends. “We are hoping to receive lots of children’s books as well. All of these items are extremely popular with our customers.”

If you have books or other materials which you can make available to the Friends, bring them to the library on Circle Drive anytime during library hours Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may also bring your materials to the Walton County Fairgrounds on Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon or on Sept. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This is the date of our next book sale.

If you are not able to bring the books to any of these locations, please call Anita at 850-859-0215.
