Town meeting

Walton County District 5 County Commissioner Cindy Meadows will hold a South Walton Town meeting from 8-9 a.m. Jan. 29 at the Great Southern Café in Seaside to discuss general issues or concerns in regard to spring break. Call 231-2978.

Prime Time programs

Walton County Library “Prime Time” programs continue at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at the Coastal Branch Library, 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach. Program brochures are available at the Coastal library and posted on www.youseemore.com/walton. Register early at 267-2809.

• Jan. 30: Dr. David Ott presents “Evening in Vienna,” music of Mozart & Beethoven, music and times at the end of the 18th century in Vienna.
• Feb. 6: Fred Bassett will present “Alabama and Florida Hummingbirds — A lot more than you might think,” discussing ruby-throated hummingbirds in depth.
• Feb. 13: Act 4 Murder Mystery Theater presented by Paula Hilton, actress, director and screenwriter on stage.
• Feb. 20: Diane Merkel, historian and author of DeFuniak Springs, will speak on Walton County History.
• Feb. 27: Jennifer Jones, owner of “Nature of the Beach,” will present a power point presentation on native plants, pollinators, wildlife and you.
• March 6: Charlene Grafton presents a health related topic titled; “The Importance of Your Family Health History.”

Seminar

Arbor Wealth Management, LLC will host “2013 Market Outlook: Retirement and Income Generation” at 10 a.m. and also at 5 p.m. Jan. 30 in the Arbor Wealth Conference Room. Firm founder and principal Margaret R. McDowell, ChFC®, AIF, will lead a Power Point presentation that provides an overview of anticipated market trends in 2013. Income generation and investment strategies outlined are most appropriate for investors with $250,000 or more of investable assets. Refreshments will be served. Call 608-6121 to reserve seating.

Teen Team

A Teen Team meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the community room of the Coastal Branch Library in Santa Rosa Beach. Join this group for engaging ideas, plan new events, meet other teens. Look forward to appearances from special guests; enjoy good food, crafts and more. Mary Ann Loiselle; director of Grand Blvd. and Rehabilitation Center, and two nurses will speak Jan. 31. Through Feb. 11, the Teen Team will accept donations of new socks to make a “sock cake” to donate to the nursing home. Call 267-2809.
