Francesco Attesti Concert

The South Walton Rotary Club will host an evening with Internationally acclaimed Italian pianist Francesco Attesti at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Santa Rosa Beach Community Church, 3524 US Highway 98 West in Santa Rosa Beach. Proceeds will benefit a medical mission in Tela, Honduras, that the South Walton Rotary Club has sponsored each year since 2010. Medical doctors, dentists, nurses and assistants led by South Walton Rotary Club member Rodney Durand, MD provide medical assistance and care to residents of Tela each year for a week. Eventually, it is the Club’s objective to open a diabetic treatment facility in Tela. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at https://www.xorbia.com/e/swr/attesti.

Free pancakes at IHOP

IHOP will give away free pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 5 to celebrate National Pancake Day. The fundraiser aims to raise $3 million to kick off Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ 30th anniversary.

Walton County Master Gardeners

Marie Harrison, Florida Federation of Garden Clubs director, author, floral designer and Okaloosa Master Gardener, will present a program on beautifying your home and garden with ornamental trees from 10-11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at the Coastal Branch Extension Office, 70 Logan Lane in Grayton Beach. Choctawhatchee Audubon Society

• Feb. 7: Monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Room 132 of the new Student Services Center at the main campus of Northwest Florida State College, 100 College Blvd. in Niceville. Program will be on the New Birds of Prey Aviary and Rehabilitation Program at the E. O. Wilson Biophilia Center near Freeport. The meeting is free and open to the public, although students under age 14 must be accompanied by a parent. Call 582-7064.
• Feb. 16: See wintering loons, grebes, ducks, waxwings, and the usual resident species, on a bird walk at Bluewater Bay, Raintree, and White Point. Meet at the Bluewater Winn-Dixie at 7:30 a.m. Call 897-2666.
