Turn on the Town
The Merchants of Seaside welcome the holidays with events for the entire family on Nov. 23 and 24. Grab your blankets and head down to the Seaside Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Nov. 23 for a holiday edition of Central Square Cinema featuring a Christmas comedy on the lawn.
The annual South Walton Holiday Parade begins at 4 p.m. Nov. 24 in front of Seagrove Plaza and continues down Scenic Highway 30A with holiday floats. The parade ends in Seaside as Santa arrives. Parade participants should meet at the Seagrove Plaza at Garrett Realty no later than 3:15 p.m. with decorated entries.
The celebration continues with Turn on the Town at 5 p.m. as Santa Claus and the kids sing and light the Christmas tree. Take photos with Santa from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Holiday Lights in Concert
The Holiday Lights in Concert spectacular is back at Silver Sands Premium Outlets from 5-9 p.m. through Jan. 1. This visual presentation features a display of colorful lights synchronized to all-time favorite Christmas songs.

Non-profit organizations vie to win cash prizes for Best of Show and People’s Choice awards during the contest. Vote once a day at the Visitor Services Kiosk at Grand Park. Christmas Tour of Homes
Partners in Progress presents its 2012 Annual Christmas Tour of Homes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 in DeFuniak Springs. The tour features five homes and includes a narrated tour aboard the Lil' Trolley which emphasizes Historic Circle Drive and the area around Lake DeFuniak that served as the campus of the original Florida Chautauqua.

Destin Boat Parade
The 26th Holiday on the Harbor Boat Parade begins between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9. Festivities will be held that afternoon all along the harbor. The Fifth Annual South Walton Elf Ride begins at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 as participants bike, walk or skateboard from the Seaside Post Office in Seaside to the S.W.F.D. Watercolor Fire Station.. A Victorian Christmas
A festive night of Victorian holiday traditions with Christmas carols, jolly dancing, decadent desserts, heavenly wassail and a special visit from Father Christmas will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the McIlroy Gallery of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. A Victorian Christmas features the college’s Madrigals Singers, Belle Voci and the NWFSC Dance Ensemble.

Holiday Lantern Parade
The Third annual Baytowne Holiday Lantern Parade will take place at 6 p.m. Dec. 15 with paper lanterns in the shapes of iconic symbols of the holiday season. A Classic Christmas
Bass Pro Shops’ Santa’s Wonderland, A Classic Christmas, returns for its fifth year with a more than 3,500-square foot Christmas village full of games, activities and crafts for the whole family through Dec. 24.
With both animated and live elves, nutcrackers, reindeer and more, the village offers an old-time model train area, remote control trucks, a laser arcade, a soft gun range and slot car racing. Activity tables give children opportunity to write a letter to Santa, color and do fun crafts every day of the week — all free.
Santa will be in residence from 3-8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 12-5 p.m. Sundays.
