Northwest Florida Ballet holds auditions
FORT WALTON BEACH - The Northwest Florida Ballet is conducting company and trainee program auditions May 24 at the studio headquarters on Perry Street. The NFB company and trainee program is designed to identify and train talented dancers in the region.
Trainee program auditions for ages 11 and up are 9 - 10:30 a.m.
Company program auditions for ages 13 and up are 10:30 a.m. - noon. Students auditioning for the company program must have prior experience on pointe and should bring pointe shoes.
Students are not necessarily placed according to age or number of years studied. The directors at the audition determine the levels.
Proper audition attire includes a dark solid leotard, pink tights and ballet slippers, with hair neatly in bun. No jewelry, shorts, legwarmers, pants or other warm-ups are permitted.
A $15 fee is required.
