Free to the public, revelers are encouraged to yell, "Hey mister, throw me some beads" as the parade rolls through Sandestin featuring a variety of decorated floats and golf carts. With a kaleidoscope of colors and floats on display, be sure to bring a bag, as throws, Moon Pies, trinkets, beads and a variety of goodies are tossed to the crowd.

The post-parade celebration continues into the night with street performers, “throws” tossed from balconies on Main Street and parties at various Baytowne establishments.

Baytowne's annual Mardi Gras celebration is fun for all ages, whether you have two legs or four.

"We really try to create a great experience for everyone," Motes said. "We couldn't do this without our homeowners, participants and our guest; they are what makes this a success."
