Thrivent Financial will hold a free educational workshop, “Social Security: Strategize To Maximize,” at 9 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 3834 Hwy. 98 W, Santa Rosa Beach, to help people understand that Social Security is just part of their overall retirement picture. Evening with James Farmer

Rosemary Beach Foundation presents an evening with James Farmer at 6 p.m. at Rosemary Beach Town Hall. The reception features drinks from Farmer’s Sip & Savor followed by presentation and conversation. Farmer is a Southern author, gardener, floral and interior designer, cook and garden-to-table lifestyle expert. Tickets are available for $25 www.rosemarybeachfoundation.org.

30A Artist Bazaar

Handmade crafts and jewelry by local artists, live and interactive art, and artisan food vendors are part of the 30A Artist Bazaar from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Artists at Gulf Place, 40 Town Loop Center in Gulf Place.

Nature walk

Take a walk in nature with wildlife expert and ecologist Joe Wyatt at 9 a.m. at Hammock Bay, west of Freeport. Suited for all ages. The trail system includes a bat house, purple martin houses, many bluebird houses, a wood duck house, a butterfly house and more. Call 496-1864.
