Cram the Van
The United Way of Okaloosa & Walton Counties and their partner agencies will collect school supplies for local children for the upcoming school year. Look for the van from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Walmart in DeFuniak Springs.
Banner signing
Area residents are invited to sign congratulations messages on a banner for Special Olympian Greg Floyd in honor of his recent trip to participate at the 2011 World Special Olympics in Athens, Greece. The banner will be available for signing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Winn-Dixie, 1030 U.S. Hwy. 331 S in DeFuniak Springs.

The Forrest Williams Band
An anniversary celebration with The Forrest Williams Band will be held at 10 p.m. at Shoo Mamas, 3906 Hwy. 98 W., Suite 10, in Santa Rosa Beach. Call 278-6824.
Topsail tours
Breakfast with a Ranger at 9 a.m. at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Bring $4, which goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, or bring your own breakfast. Hike and learn about the coastal dune systems and uncover the mysteries of the “Mountains of Florida” at 10:30 a.m. A $6 park entrance fee is required, except for Breakfast with a Ranger. West Indies Market

Unlimited Horizons
Unlimited Horizons of the Emerald Coast will present Don Daniels, a practitioner and teacher of yoga, meditation and the psychology of personal achievement, at 2:30 p.m. in the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center, 800 Shoreline Dr. A donation at the door to both programs is $7. Biophilia Center
The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays; and 1-5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $5/person, $2/children 6-12, and children 5 and under are free. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Groovin' On The Green

Music theory classes
Lisa Cyr will teach classes in reading music and understanding basic music theory from 6-7 p.m. Mondays, July 11 at the Coastal Branch Library. Tuesday, July 12
Kids Rock the Block
Bring the family for a rockin' night of fun from 6-8 p.m. on the Western Green in Rosemary Beach. Activities include moonwalks, face painting, airbrush tattoos, arts and crafts with Gigi's, hula hoops, bubble machine and more. Event is free.
Seaside Rep
The Seaside Repertory Theatre presents “How I Became a Pirate” at 7 p.m. at WaterColor in the Marina Park Amphitheatre.
Knot Kamp
Yards N Yarn in Freeport will host summer three-day knot sessions for any age from 10 a.m. to noon, 1-3 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $35 and includes project and items. Call 880-6404.
Mini Gras & Boomin' Tuesdays
An evening of fun and merriment with special children’s activities takes place from 7-10 p.m. in the Events Plaza at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Each week, the Village will crown a king and queen to throw moonpies and candy to the crowd. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. over the lagoon. Event is free. Enjoy the Bouncy Castle and other inflatables with purchase of a $10 wristband.
Marina Beach Luau
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort brings back old-fashioned summer fun and adds a hint of tropical flare with its Marina Beach Luaus from 6:30-9 p.m. at the marina beach at Baytowne Marina. Enjoy tropical music, a bon fire, and tropical foods, a cash bar and more, while children enjoy canoe rides, a tiki flamethrower, limbo dances and hunting for crabs on the beach. MaryAnn and Gilligan, the resort’s resident parrots, put on a show as they dance, talk and greet all of the luau guests. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. Call 267-7775.
Sand Sculpting
Seaside offers free sand sculpting lessons by sand master Mark Flynn from Sand Odyssey from 1-3 p.m. Pick up your wristband from Seaside Beach before the event, as space is limited.

Wednesday Night Concert Series
The Village of Baytowne Wharf presents a free concert with Biscuit Miller & the Mix from 7-9 p.m. in the Events Plaza. Call 267-8186.
Social Security seminar

Crystal Bay, a retirement community in Destin, will host a tour of homes and complimentary luncheon from 12:30-2:30 p.m. for seniors and their loved ones searching for a senior living experience. This event will provide guests with a complimentary luncheon, introductions to staff, an exclusive tour of the one- and two- bedroom apartments, and an overview of Brookdale Senior Living’s Optimum Life concept.

Night at the Museum
The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida in Valparaiso will hold a Night at the Museum, a guided tour and wine tasting experience, at 7 p.m. Enjoy exhibits and live Native American music, sample wine and food from local restaurants, enter raffles, take part in the silent auction and mingle with special guests who will bring history to life.
