Historical overview of Special Operations at Heritage Museum
The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida presents Special Ops, a lecture by John A. Glover, Chief, History Office, Hurlburt Field on
Thursday, April 3, at noon.
Dr. Glover will present a brief historical overview of Special Operations and the role that the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field and its people have played in defending the nation since 1943. Ample time will be allowed to answer questions and generate discussion.
This lecture is part of the History Sandwiched-In lunchtime lecture series presented by the Heritage Museum on topics pertaining to local and regional history. Brown bag lunches are encouraged. Lectures are offered free and feature one-hour presentations by historians, scholars and local legends. Brown bags lunches are encouraged.
