PARTY LINE: Emeril cooks at Bud & Alley’s; Sinfonia style at Seagar’s

The evening was quite elegant at Seagar's Oct. 4 when most locals attending the New Orleans-style cabaret performance by Jeremy Davenport for Sinfonia dressed to the nines for the concert, champagne reception and dinner of surf and turf. Joe Bonanno, Chuck and Shirley Simpson, Lynn and Steve Dugas, Georgeen Newell and Ken Golden, Kay and Steve Crawford, John Stasko, Demetrius Fuller and Michael Dobson, Tim Krueger, Amber Wiebe, Ron Adams, Lorre and Bob James, Steve Barber, Nancy and John Cottle, Jennifer Howard, Lynn Wesson, Carol Rankin, Lydia Smith, John and Michelle Russell, Scott Russell, and Brian and Kathy Haugen were some who turned out, and some even got up and danced.

John Russell, Scott Russell, and Demetrius Fuller hosted a meet-the-artist reception for Jeremy Davenport at the Burnt Pine home of Scott Russell the night prior. Michelle Russell, John Stasko, Peggy Brown, Demetrius Fuller, Michael Dobson, Nancy and John Cottle, Kate Kelly, Lydia Smith, Tim Krueger, Amber Wiebe, Cory and Hillary Fosdyck, Joe Bonanno, Ron Adams, Lynn and Steve Dugas, Chuck and Shirley Simpson attended.

The Cultural Arts Alliance held a "thank you party" for its volunteers and supporters at Hibiscus House Oct. 2. David and Judi Bludworth, Sarah and Bill Sullivan, Keen and Kim Polakoff, Laura Granberry, Susan and Buz Livingston, Carol Dickson, Dorothy Starbuck, Nina and Garrett Horn, Denny and Carol Wenrick were some who attended.

Last weekend was another gorgeous one at this place we know as paradise. I saw Jim and Brenda Radtke on the beach. Jim's son, Jimmy, and his girlfriend are visiting.

The Seaside yard sale last Saturday was a hot one. I saw Michelle Fillingim, Adam Shiland, Sharon Thompson, Barbara Rowan, Dorothy Starbuck, Brandon Babineaux, and Lynn Nesmith there.

The Pastel Society has accepted a painting of Women's Art Network member Marie Jackson into its juried art show. Congratulations to her.

Bett Appell now has two paintings in a furniture/design gallery in Chicago, right across from The Mart.
