“Abundance”, by A. J. Kleindolph, can be seen in February at the Coastal Branch Library.

Watercolors and photography highlight February's artists at the Library

During February, Coastal Branch Library presents the works of A. J. Kleindolph and Gary Hines.

Kleindolph is a self-taught artist who moved to Santa Rosa Beach more than 10 years ago. At that time, she found herself surrounded by talented artists and a wonderful community of people who support the arts. She started taking lessons from various artists in the area and soon began to paint watercolors for friends and family.

Kleindolph was "hooked" after selling her first painting at a local art show and continues to paint with watercolors and acrylics.  She recently has been doing some pencil portraits. More of her work may be seen at the Hotel DeFuniak Art Gallery.  Contact Kleindolph at ajnork@gmail.com.

A longtime visitor to Santa Rosa Beach, Hines is showing his photography at the Walton County Coastal Branch Library. Hines was a high school art teacher who taught photography, drawing and painting. After retiring, he winters in Santa Rosa Beach and looks forward to capturing all its beauty in his art.

The Coastal Branch Library is at 437 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach. It is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.
