Star gazing: Henderson Beach State Park in Destin will host a star gazing program from 5-10 p.m. June 20. Telescopes will be available for public viewing of star clusters, planets, and galaxies. Pet owners: The Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Walton County Emergency Management and Alaqua Animal Refuge will help pet owners get information they need to have a plan in place in case of evacuation from 9 a.m. to noon June 21 at Alaqua Unleashed, 342 JD Miller Road in Santa Rosa Beach. Family event includes a petting zoo, face-painting by Abrakadoodle, food trucks, sno balls, the Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, agility demonstrations, a fire truck, adoptable dogs from Alaqua and more. Casting Call: Tryouts for Alaqua’s 2015 calendar, Hunks and Hounds, will be held from 1-3 p.m. June 21 on Grayton Beach. County Commissioners: The Walton County Board of County Commissioners will hold special meetings to discuss the Parking Needs Assessment in South Walton County at 3 p.m. July 8 and Aug. 12 at the South Walton County Courthouse Annex, 31 Coastal Centre Blvd. in Santa Rosa Beach.

ArtWalk on the Harbor: Local and regional artists and vendors display their work at ArtWalk on the Harbor from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 20 from HarborWalk Village to AJ’s. The event is free.

Auditions: Seaside will host auditions for the Third Annual Seaside Nutcracker from 5-6 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Seaside Assembly Hall, 168 Smolian Circle in Santa Rosa Beach.
