The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a person who went missing in the water near Panama City Beach on Sunday night. The announcement was made in a news release Monday morning.

Coast Guard Sector Mobile searched for approximately four hours and covered approximately 337 nautical miles.

Sector Mobile received a report of a person in the water at 6:43 p.m., approximately 200 yards off-shore of Regency Tower.

Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobil HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew

Bay County Sheriff's Office

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
