CHELCO’s second annual Member Appreciation Day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 9 at Emerald Coast Middle School, 4019 Hwy. 98 in Santa Rosa Beach.

The event will offer a free light breakfast, ice cream, a member gift, bounce houses and local vendors. CHELCO’s Live Line Safety Demonstration Trailer will also be onsite to educate the community about power line safety and dangers.

Local vendors include Sacred Heart Hospital, Northwest Florida State College, Children in Crisis, Brozinni Pizzeria and the United Way of Okaloosa and Walton Counties. CHELCO will have information on Cooperative Solar and Switch to Save. CHELCO will also have a bucket truck at the event.

“Our territory is quite large, and we know many members cannot attend (the) annual meeting, which features fun, food and prizes,” said Vice President of Member Services Steve Wolfrom. “We decided to start having a member appreciation event at other locations. We will rotate it around the area to bring CHELCO to the members in other parts of Okaloosa and Walton counties.”
