FREEPORT – A 33-year-old woman who bit the father of her child in the chest was charged with battery, despite him not wishing to press charges.
They were exchanging their daughter when the fight occurred.
The victim told Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies that he took his daughter to a specific address to meet her mother. He said he didn’t want the child to go with her mother and refused her full access to the child.
He refused to detail how she had attacked him, calling it a “family argument.”
A witness told deputies she’d bitten the victim in the chest and struck him in the face and neck area. The witness said he saw blood coming from the bite wound in the chest.
The victim refused to provide a written statement but, at the deputy’s request, raised his shirt enough that the deputy could see the bite mark.
After being read her rights, the suspect said she’d bitten the man because she was angry and upset.
