SANTA ROSA BEACH – A 33-year-old man driving down Indian Woman Road was arrested after he failed to deactivate his high beams while approaching a deputy.

According to the 33-year-old man’s Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the deputy could smell marijuana as he approached the car.

The deputy found a bag of marijuana as well as a loaded revolver and brass knuckles, all within reach of the driver, the report said.

He also had a digital scale and a suitcase with another gun, and assorted paraphernalia, the report said.

He told the deputy he was a convicted felon and was arrested. He has been charged with possession of guns and ammo as a convicted felon, possession of drug equipment and possession of marijuana.
