PONCE DE LEON — A residential home was severely damaged following a Monday night fire.

According to a press release from the Walton County Sheriff's Office, firefighters respond to a residential fire on White Creek Road at around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and discovered a fully engulfed structure. No one was home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.

Crews from Walton County Fire Rescue crews and Argyle Volunteer Fire Department worked together to battle the blaze, which encompassed about 80 percent of the structure.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.
