FREEPORT – A woman who was angry that her husband wouldn’t give her his Xanax terrorized him until he was saved by Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to her arrest report, the woman’s husband woke up at 10 a.m. to her demanding his medication. When he told her no, she clawed him with her nails and then threw a large candle at his knee when he tried to leave.

He picked up their toddler daughter and fled the house, but she jumped in the back of the pickup truck as he was driving away, according to her WCSO arrest report.

Since she wouldn’t get out of his truck, he drove back to their house, where he locked himself inside with their child.

She then went next door and called deputies.

He had visible injuries matching his account of the events.

She was charged with battery.
