DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — A woman pulled over after failing to stop at a stop sign was arrested after telling the deputy, “I know, I know, (my license) is suspended.”

The Walton County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on the woman on Dec. 17 after observing her fail to stop at a stop sign. When he requested her driver’s license, the woman replied, “I know, I know, it’s suspended 'cause I didn’t pay a traffic ticket last year.” The deputy confirmed through dispatch that the woman’s license was indeed suspended and the tag on her vehicle was to be seized.

The woman was charged with knowingly driving while license suspended or revoked, a traffic misdemeanor.
