As many of you may know, snow is possibly on its way tonight into the early morning. According to the US National Weather Service Tallahassee Florida our area is under a winter weather advisory until 12pm Wednesday. Walton County Emergency Management has opened cold weather shelters to anyone in need of a place to go during these dangerously low temperatures.
As Floridians, we're used to our white sandy beaches. NOT, the white stuff from the sky. We get it. That's why we're asking everyone to drive safely, as we always ask that you do, and let us know if you need our help. We're always here to help.
Will we get six inches of snow? Not likely. Although, we're not meteorologists. But, what we do know is that if you've lived in tropical climates most of your life the best advice we can give is to take the snow slow. If you're driving, expect to leave a little earlier to get to your destination, buckle up, bundle up and be patient to those sharing the road. And, as always, don't eat yellow snow.
