The February artist at the Coastal Branch Library in Santa Rosa Beach will be Suzanne LeLoup-West. Her art is fun and whimsical and can be viewed from Feb. 1 through Feb. 28.

LeLoup-West is a self taught artist and has worked in many mediums including watercolor, pen and ink, mixed media and acrylic. She has a very eclectic, impressionistic style and is continually trying new mediums and techniques. Her "Blooms of Imagination" series and "Tea Bag Treasures" series will be featured at the Coastal Branch Library for the month of February 2018. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Friends of the Library.

LeLoup-West paints in her home studio and teaches in her Cottage Art Studio in Ponce De Leon, Florida. She has taught acrylic painting at Northwest Florida State College, South Walton Center and collage classes at the NWFSC, Chautauqua Center in DeFuniak Springs. A desire for continued growth in her art has been accomplished through various classes and workshops.

"I believe that art feeds your soul and that an artist continues to grow and mature with every painting,” LeLoup-West said. “As I paint and create my hope is to inspire positive emotion in the viewer. When the viewer tells me my paintings are ‘joyful,’ I feel I have accomplished my goal. Art and creativity are a part of me and I find time everyday to paint, if only for 30 minutes."
