FREEPORT — A 30-year-old man who said he was “not feeling well” was arrested for grabbing his girlfriend’s throat, pinching her and pushing her to the ground after an argument.
According to an arrest report from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, on Jan. 13 the man and his live-in girlfriend, with whom he has two children, were in their Freeport camper when they got into an argument. The man said he was “sick” and “not feeling well.”
The woman then left the camper with the two small children and called a friend to pick them up. She put the children’s car seats in the back seat of the truck of the woman who came to pick her up, but a struggle ensued when her boyfriend attempted to take one of the children out of the car. The man pinched his girlfriend on the side, causing a mark. When she tried to push him away, he took her eyeglasses off her face and threw them on the ground.
He then forcefully grabbed the woman by the throat and pushed her backward, causing her to fall on the ground.
