On the eastern end of County Highway 30A, those who search will find a hidden gem at Alys Beach.

Discover Neat Bottle Shop & Tasting Room, and it's newly added gathering room.

Opened in November 2015, Neat has recently expanded its space and menu options.

Check out the tasting room first where at the bar you can sample the four featured wines and beers of the month and discover a new favorite. Once discovered, purchase that new favorite wine in the expansive Neat Bottle Shop, then order a sharable small plate and join your friends in the comfortable gathering room overlooking 30A to sip and share.

The design of the gathering room keeps with the elements of both the bottle shop and tasting room featuring wood panels and cozy seating accented with brass and marble details.

Guests can choose from shareable small plates and a variety of light bites ranging from gourmet cheeses and charcuterie to savory dips and caviar with tableside service, all made locally. The snack section of the menu is served all day and remaining small plates will be available starting at 5 p.m. daily.

Neat features local and regional craft beers on tap. Breweries will be coming in to host special tastings in the spring.

At the first of each month check out Neat's new drink of the month and its new menu.

Jeremy Walton director of operations said they found that with the popularity of the bottle shop and tasting room that people were looking for something to nosh on -- a pre-dinner place for a night cap or to share a plate and relax.

"We wanted to make Neat even more accommodating as a neighborhood wine bar and cocktail lounge that can be enjoyed," said Alys Beach Director of Food and Beverage Hughes Le Berre.

The expansion was completed the weekend of Thanksgiving and has become a favorite among Alys Beach homeowners and guests, said Katy Lawson. The Gathering Room will seat 24, bringing seating capability to 60 including outdoors.

Neat is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

For more information, visit Neat's website or connect with them on Facebook or Instagram.

With the start of spring break, Tuesday is wine and song from 5-7 p.m. with local artists or bands playing.
