DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — A man was arrested after getting on top of his ex-wife’s vehicle and jumping on the back of it while their children and her niece were inside.

According to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, on Feb. 17 the woman, who had a restraining order against the 32-year-old man and father of her children, told authorities that the man got out of his car “and started jumping on the back of the vehicle that (she) was driving with her and (the man’s) children and (her) niece.”

The woman was able to drive off, but the man got in his car and followed her until she pulled into the DeFuniak Springs Police Department parking lot. The young niece was able to identify the man as the one who jumped on their car due to him having been married to her aunt and because “he was her T-ball coach.”

The DeFuniak Springs man was arrested and charged with violating a restraining order, a misdemeanor.
