MIRAMAR BEACH — A bad parking job led to a Panama City man’s arrest for marijuana possession.

According to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, on the night of March 23 a deputy was sitting in an unmarked patrol vehicle when he spotted a car attempting to park in a spot nearby.

The deputy witnessed the driver hit the brakes and gas repeatedly until it hit the curb.

The deputy made contact with the car’s occupants, a man and a woman. The woman had a glass smoking device in her hand with smoke visible inside the car. When the man saw the deputy, he took the glass pipe from the woman and tried to hide it between the seats.

When the man got out of the vehicle, he informed the deputy he had an active warrant out of Bay County for violation of probation.

Four grams of cannabis were found in the vehicle.

The 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with out-of-county arrest warrant and marijuana possession.
