INLET BEACH — A 42-year-old man was arrested on two charges after telling deputies he was going to kill another man, but “not yet.”
Deputies responded to a home on Stinnett Road in reference to a verbal argument between two occupants. When they arrived, the victim said the man approached him with a kitchen knife held above his head and said, “I’m going to kill you, but not yet,” according to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
The victim said he was in fear for his life and felt that the man could kill him at any time.
A deputy later learned the man had a domestic violence injunction prohibiting him from coming within 100 feet of the home.
The man admitted to deputies he said he was going to kill the man, but again said he wasn’t going to do it “just yet.”
He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and violation of domestic violence injunction.
