Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Walton county as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.

Walton County

-- U.S. 98 over Peach Creek- Motorists may encounter turn lane and median restrictions on U.S. 98 over Peach Creek, nine miles west of the Bay County line, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 16 as crews perform drainage repairs on the east side of Peach Creek Bridge.

 

-- U.S 331 Routine Maintenance from South of Sonic to U.S. 90 in DeFuniak Springs- There will be alternating east and westbound lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thurdsay, April 19 from just south of Sonic to U.S. 90 in DeFuniak Springs as crews replace manhole covers.

 

-- U.S. 331 Utility Operations Over the Choctawhatchee Bay- The southbound, outside lane will be closed on U.S. 331 over the Choctawhatchee Bay from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 23 through April 26 as utility crews perform an annual inspection

 

-- U.S .98 Turn Lane Construction at Sugar Drive /Mussett Bayou Road- Crews will construct an eastbound, right turn lane at Sugar Drive and a westbound, right turn lane at Mussett Bayou Road. No lane closures will be allowed between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

 

All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling in a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
