SANTA ROSA BEACH — A suspect in multiple burglaries in Grayton Beach over the weekend has been arrested Wednesday, thanks to help from the Walton County community.
Erin Crow, 25, was arrested on four felony charges, including two counts of burglary of an occupied dwelling and two counts of grand theft, according to a press release.
After two May 6 burglaries on Auburn and Yaupon streets, deputies reviewed home surveillance videos and distributed photos of the suspect on social media. Tips began to flood into Crime Stoppers and the Walton County Sheriff’s Office following the publication of the incident on social media and in the press, the report said.
Four people provided written statements naming Crow as the suspect. One was a co-worker, and three knew Crow for numerous years.
When investigators went to find Crow at her residence on North Camp Creek Road, several of the stolen items could be seen in plain view, the report said.
A search warrant was obtained and all stolen items were recovered. Crow admitted to stealing the items, according to the police report.
