DEFUNIAK SPRINGS —  First responders were called to the DeFuniak Springs Municipal Airport after a plane flipped over on the runway Saturday afternoon.

According to the DeFuniak Springs Police Department Facebook page, a male pilot was making his landing when a reported cross wind caused the plane to veer off the runway and flip over.

The pilot was the only passenger on the plane and was not injured, said the police department.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been notified and will be taking over the investigation.
