DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — A man is being held on $100,000 bond after officers found a half-pound of marijuana in the back seat of a vehicle.
DeFuniak Springs police responded to calls Saturday about a disabled vehicle on Shoemaker Drive, according to a press release.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in the road and another on the side of the road with the hood up, the press release said.
Four men, who all appeared to be intoxicated, admitted they'd been drinking and had an open container of beer in the vehicle, according to the press release.
The driver consented to a search of the vehicle, and a duffel bag containing a half-pound of marijuana was found in the back seat.
One of the passengers, 33-year-old Benny Frank Macias of DeFuniak Springs, admitted the bag was his. Macias was charged with felony possession of marijuana.
Macias was taken to the Walton County Jail and was held on $100,000 bond.
