DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — A man was arrested on drug charges after police pulled him over because his window tint was too dark.

According to a report from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, on May 27 a deputy spotted a truck with windows so dark he couldn’t see inside the car, even with his lights shining on it.

He pulled the truck over and approached the driver, who told him he had to roll down the rear window in order to see him approaching the vehicle. He also said he always rolls down his windows when he sees law enforcement, because he knows his windows are too dark, according to the report.

While speaking with the driver, the deputy noticed he appeared nervous and was stuttering, so he had his K9 sniff around the car. The dog alerted to the presence of drugs in the car, and deputies found a pill bottle containing methamphetamine, three syringes and two spoons.

The 33-year-old man was charged with one count of drug possession and seven counts of drug equipment possession.
