DEFUNIAK SPRINGS – A 49-year-old woman who got so drunk at a local bar she was chasing other patrons around the parking lot was charged with battery and disorderly intoxication.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the AmVet’s bar on U.S. Highway 90 June 7 to help manage the woman.

Patrons told the deputy that she’d hit one man who was trying to defend himself, according to her WCSO arrest report.

She was outside the bar when the deputy arrived.

Two men said she attacked one of them and was acting crazy, the report said.

She’d been asked to leave the bar, but while she was being escorted out she started chasing one of the patrons.

One of the witnesses said that he and another man were running around cars trying to keep her away from them.

When she was escorted out of the bar, several patrons followed the group to make sure nothing happened, a witness told the deputy.

When she charged at one of them, she screamed that she was a daughter of God.
