1. Theatre Thursdays
Emerald Coast Theatre Company presents a fun-for-all-ages adaptation of a William Shakespeare play, “Romeo and Juliet,” from 8-9 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 2 in Grand Park in Sandestin. Abrakadoodle offers pre-show children’s activities at 7 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket.
2. Ranger Program
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park presents a Ranger program at 9 a.m. every Thursday in July and August. Learn about park plants, animals and cultural history. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water bottle, sunscreen and hat as most programs include exploring the park. Program is free with regular park admission.
3. Baytowne Wharf
In addition to free concerts and movies, Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin offers free events on other nights in the Events Plaza. Hydro Flight Monday features fly-board extraordinaire Ben Merrell at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Boomin’ Tuesday has lawn games and inflatables from 7-9:15 p.m. followed by fireworks over the Lagoon. Magical Thursday with pirate Captain Davy begins at 7 and 8 p.m.
