The iconic Seaside Post Office building was damaged late Monday morning when it fell as it was being moved to its new home in the community.

“As in any building move there are inherent risks," said Kevin Boyle, Seaside director of events, said on behalf of Seaside Community Development Corp. "While every precaution was taken, unfortunately the move did not go as planned, and we are currently assessing the damage to building. We are working diligently with Ducky Johnson and our crew to recover the building as a whole and move as planned. No one was injured when the building became unstable.”
