Wine Women & Shoes is one of the fastest-growing event series in the country. The events are festive and always for a noble cause. Inspired by the classic country ballad “Wine, Women and Song,” Elaine Honig, a scion of the prominent California wine producing family, created the event. Now in its ninth year, the WW&S team has produced over 120 events, which have helped net an astounding $15 million for various non-profits across the country.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast invites ladies (and gents too) to put their best foot forward for a great cause with Sinfonia Gulf Coast's Wine Women & Shoes — Sandestin, Feb. 7-9, 2014. The event is one of the California-based Wine, Women and Shoes events held nationwide, which have raised more than $15 million dollars for non-profits across the country. Serving the region with an entirely professional symphony orchestra, Sinfonia is synonymous with presenting high-caliber events and Wine Women & Shoes will help raise funds for much-needed educational initiatives throughout the community.

The event weekend will kick off on Friday, Feb. 7, with multiple Vintner Dinners hosted in elegant homes and restaurants throughout the region. Some of the country’s best vineyards such as Blackbird, Swanson, Ferrari Sparkling, Pott, Jericho Canyon, Orin Swift, Peter Lehman, Justin, Lola, Pali and Peju, will be paired with recognized chefs. The evening's culinary maestros include regional chefs Tim Creehan of Cuvee Bistro, Ken Duenas of Café Thirty-A, Paul Stellato of Firefly, Trey Griffith of Chan’s, Nikhil Abavula of Roux 30A, Christopher Holbrook of Signature Catering 30A, and Jude Tauzin, executive chef for the Tony Chachere national brand.

Meet the winemakers and their representatives at a special Vintner Tasting on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Kwiker Liquor located in Carillon Beach. The event is from 4-7 p.m. and complimentary transportation from Sandestin is provided to patrons who purchase a ticket. Tickets are $25, which includes a $5 rebate on any wine purchase.

The signature event will be on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 2-5 p.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom at Sandestin’s The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Patrons can expect an extravaganza of fashion, wine and retail (shoe) sales, silent auction, wine tastings, sole mates (shoe guys), delectable hors d’oeuvres and a fashion show from W by Worth and Dennis & Company. All-inclusive tickets are $65 or $100 for VIP reserved table seating and champagne/dessert service during the fashion show.

Co-Chairs for the 2014 event are Jennifer Howard, Demetria McNeese and Elaine Tucker. Krueger, Fosdyck & Associates of Merrill Lynch, The Center for Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, Cox Communications and Visit South Walton are the presenting sponsors for Sinfonia’s 2014 Wine Women and Shoes.
