"Duck Dynasty" is in the news again, but this time linked to one of South Walton's own.

The A&E show's Missy Robertson has linked up with Stephanie Carter and her Santa Rosa Beach-based Southern Fashion House to debut a line of clothing carrying Missy's name.

The Robertson clan lives in Louisiana and Missy shops at a store in Monroe that carries Carter's Judith March line.

The store called Carter last year and told her that Missy loves the Judith March line and she buys it from them. The store owner also told Carter that Missy wanted to start her own clothing line. The store owner asked if she was interested.

"I said, 'Of course!'" recalls Carter.

Carter took 30 samples to Monroe, met Missy, and she loved 95 percent of it.

Carter found that Missy was looking to fill a void in women's clothing offerings. She wanted clothes for women in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s, instead of the younger set. She wanted to appeal to women who still feel young and are young at heart; something cute, but something they would not be embarrassed to wear to pick up their child at school; something with a longer hemline that is trendy and classy at the same time.
