A labor of love

Kissing tour

"We took a lot of photos, but I captured the most memorable snapshot in my mind," Tara said. "As we ran into Stinky’s parking lot to finish our 30 miles Mike whispered, “hold my hand.” It brought tears to my already fogged-over sunglasses. We finished hand-in-hand."

Mike and Tara Myers, the "kissingtour" couple, celebrated their second wedding anniversary by running 30 miles on 30A over Labor Day weekend.

The pair celebrated their big finish with a cold one at Stinky’s Fish Camp.

“I thought the run was an amazing kaleidoscope of fun, fatigue, kissing, sweating, eating, drinking, heat, humidity, miles, upon miles, upon miles of scenic 30A,” Mike said. “I can think of no better way to celebrate our life together.”

"The outpouring of support on 30A overwhelmed us,” Tara said. “People honked, cheered and shouted their congratulations from car windows and bikes. Part of our mission it to change the way the world sees love, and it felt like we may just have accomplished that in this little slice of the world.”
