A new vacation condominium will celebrate the return of condominium type construction to Miramar Beach and the Scenic Gulf Drive coast in south Walton County . Alerio will break ground on May 8, underscoring the revitalization of the area’s real estate market. The beach party groundbreaking celebration will benefit Food For Thought, a local not-for-profit organization that strives to fight child hunger.

With 34 reservations currently in place, Alerio has clearly struck a chord among real estate buyers hungry for something new. Comprised of five buildings of four stories each, it will offer owners and their guests the convenience of access to the beach directly across Scenic Gulf Drive (a.k.a. Old 98). The 88 brand new two and three bedroom resort condominiums will boast the latest in features and fixtures: hard surface flooring throughout, granite countertops in the kitchen and baths, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, and crown moulding in the living area.

“Alerio is conceived and designed to exceed the expectations of families who want to invest in a resort rental condo to enjoy during their own vacations, as well as generate income,” said Norman McLean, one of the new project’s developers. “It has all the updated features and fixtures that we hear from our buyers that they want, but still offers the easy and protected beach access that a place at the beach requires.”

A pool, 10-person hot tub/spa and a splash pad for youngsters are all part of the fun at Alerio. The condominium is gated, with a check-in office onsite for increased security for owners and visitors. Alerio is considered a condotel or condo hotel due to the onsite check-in desk. However, owners can still choose to use the rental company of their choice to manage the rental of their individual condos.

Pre-construction prices range from $219,000 to $339,000. A fully-refundable $10,000 reservation will hold a specific Alerio vacation condo for interested buyers.  Jennifer Howard, Realtor with SRE, has been selected by Alerio Development LLC to list and market the new condos.

“Alerio is the only new development with multi-family buildings being built on Old Highway 98 in Miramar Beach ,” said Howard.

The groundbreaking beach party was to be held at the Alerio site at 732 Scenic Gulf Drive May 8 with a bonfire, music, wine, refreshments, and giveaways.
