Rosemary Beach is getting a new neighbor.

The Walton County Commissioners approved plans Tuesday for The Inn on the Gulf, a trio of luxury, four-story buildings. The development will feature one, two and three bedroom options with space ranging from 460 square feet to 2,118 square feet.

Mark Humphreys, CEO of Humphreys & Partners Architects, L.P. and second homeowner in Rosemary Beach for the past 10 years, saw a need for lodging along the 30A corridor during the busy spring break and summer seasons. While he has developed a few houses in the area before, this project is a personal one for Humphreys, he said.

"My heart's sold on the Rosemary Beach development," he said. "Everyone's gonna love it."

Humphreys & Partners Architects, L.P. along with Atticus Real Estate are the front-runners of the new development.
