Reward offered in missing woman case
The Bay County Sheriff's Office is currently working the case of Pamela Biggers, an Alabama woman who disappeared from her Panama City Beach motel room in January 2008. She was last seen on Sunday, January 27, as she retired to her room for the night at the La Quinta Inn on Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach. There were no signs of a struggle in her room and law enforcement does not suspect foul play.
Biggers' personal belongings remained in the room when she left, including cell phone, money and identification. Her vehicle also remained in the parking lot. Family members of Biggers have stated she suffers from a health condition that can leave her disoriented and are concerned she may have left the room in a confused state of mind.
The Carole Sund-Carrington Foundation has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of Pamela Biggers. Carole and Julie Sund and Silvina Pelosso were the three women sightseers who were missing and later found murdered near Yosemite National Park in February of 1999. Carole Sund's parents, Francis and Carole Carrington, offered rewards both for the safe return and for information leading to the whereabouts of the rental car. They believe these rewards and national media attention contributed to the car being located and gave them the first break in the case.
The foundation was established to assist families such the family of Pamela Biggers in their search for missing loved ones. $5,000 is being posted for information leading to the safe return of Biggers.
