BREAKING: Man in critical after being pulled from riptide in Miramar Beach

Published: Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 04:46 PM.

Due to high surf and very strong rip currents, the Beaches of South Walton will be flying double red beach flags. These conditions are forecast to continue until Friday morning June 7th, 2013.

Double red beach flags indicate that the surf conditions are extremely hazardous and the water is CLOSED to the public. Entering the water during this time can result in injury or death.

South Walton Fire District Lifeguards will be constantly monitoring the conditions. We ask that you also continue to monitor the conditions and adhere to all the warnings.
