"We also caught some of the best quality red snapper I've seen lately — 15 pounders," Capt. Phil said. They also caught several amberjack that were coming in a few inches short.

Amberjack have to be at least 30 inches to keep.

Capt. Mark Thompson on the Fishy Booty ran into the same issue with the amberjack. "We caught a lot of small jacks right out of the gate this morning, but they were 4 or 5 inches short."

However, his group from Georgia didn't come up empty. They pulled in a king mackerel along with vermillion snapper and white snapper. They also hooked into a 7-foot, 150-pound bull shark, which they released.

Fishing is good so come on down and check it out. Best time to see the catches is between 11 a.m. and noon and then 4 and 5 p.m. for the afternoon trips.

Remember if a truck and trailer is on the beach, there's an angler on the water.

See you on the beach.
