Roy found all the stars to be very sweet and down-to-earth people.

Roy said with the closing of her gallery in Seaside , she will miss all the acquaintances and friends she has made, but it is time to move on and she is ready to do something different -- and to paint something different.

"I am just getting out of the retail end of my business and will switch to working with wholesalers and vendors who will market my prints," she said.

Locally, Fusion Art Glass in Seaside will still sell her Seaside prints, and she will work with galleries in the Southwest and Northwest to market her new works, which will be original acrylics on canvas. She will continue to accept commissions.

"After more than 20 years here I just feel the calling to do something else. I have met a really nice man who likes to travel and it's time to do something else. I have been tied to this gallery for 20-plus years and running it limits my creativity. There are still things I want to do and I am really excited to be able to do them," she said.

The last day of her retail business will be Jan. 16, 2013. Her prints may be purchased online at

For those in Seaside between now and Jan. 6, she says please stop in and say hello. She will have extended hours until 8 p.m. on Dec. 28 and Jan. 4.
