FDOT announces intermittent lane closures on U.S. 98 in Walton County
Motorist traveling U.S. 98 between Baytown Avenue in Miramar Beach and the Walton County/Okaloosa County line will encounter intermittent lane closures starting today and continuing through Feb. 10. The following work will take place:
— Pipe inspection
From Baytown Avenue to Walton County/Okaloosa County line
Feb. 7 through Feb. 10
Westbound intermittent outside lane closures between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
— Striping and installation of raised pavement marker
From west of Baytown Avenue to State Road 83 (U.S. 331)
Feb. 7 through Feb. 10
Moving Operation both east and westbound lanes
*Moving Operation will be not take place in areas where current lane closures are in place.
— Shoulder repair
From Walton/Bay County line to Peach Creek
Feb. 9, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
West and eastbound intermittent lane closures
Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling through the construction area, and to use caution, especially at night when driving in work zones.
