Fire in DeFuniak Springs injures one

DeFUNIAK SPRINGS –DeFuniak Springs Fire Department responded to a residential home at 3 a.m. Wednesday where a kitchen fire sent smoke throughout a Quebec Avenue home.

First responders sent one by ambulance to an area hospital. The other three people in the home had no injuries, said Fire Chief Brian Coley.

The fire was determined to be accidental, but resulted in the home being badly damaged, Coley said.
