Eco-chic: Ava’s Attic going green with revamped furniture line

Initially, Henry and Hood simply purchased the chalk paint to rehab the furniture pieces, but they decided to start making their own. They package the paint in glass jars and sell it in the store for $24 per quart, a bargain compared to the $38 price tag at a paint store. They also sell their own waxes, to help seal the chalk paint.

The eco-chic pieces are available at Ava’s Attic Consignment Boutique’s 10,000 square foot showroom. The store also offers up a large selection of home furnishings, as well as a wide selection of designer clothing, purses, jewelry, and shoes. The shop’s selection changes weekly and offers something for every taste and price range.

“We’re just taking wood that they’re throwing out and making beautiful furniture,” said Henry. “It’s just blossomed.”
