Fine Art Meets the Beach: ArtsQuest Arts Festival to take place May 9-11

ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival provides the perfect palette to paint the masterpiece of Mother’s Day weekend along the Gulf Coast.

Now in its 26th year, ArtsQuest is one of the region’s most highly revered fine arts festivals produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) and presented by Visit South Walton and Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. Mark your calendars for next weekend May 9-11 in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin.

This year’s festival abounds with something for the entire family from a new long-term home at Grand Boulevard that offers ample parking and amenities to more than150 national, regional and local artist exhibits, live art demonstrations, gourmet food, beach cocktails, live music and kids’ entertainment.

ArtsQuest guests will enjoy live demonstrations throughout the weekend from Emerald Coast Woodturners, McGee’s Pottery, Carol Dixon Basketweaving, Plein Air Painters and Meyer Boarding Company Interactive Exhibit.

  Gallery Nights, After Hours Beach Bash and More

This year during the festival week, local galleries will participate in Gallery Nights Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8 offering special parties, showings and events… all in the spirit of ArtsQuest. This tour of special gallery events is open to the public.

Friday’s festivities get a boost this year with a new After Hours Bacardi Beach Bash on the grand park in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin from 8-11p.m. This party is complimentary and open to the public, offering a cash bar featuring tropical Bacardi cocktails and Grayton Beer and live music by Cadillac Willy.
